Donna Evelyn Bingham Olsen
1928 – 2015
Donna Evelyn Bingham was born October 5, 1928 in Clinton, Utah, to Albertus and Martha Estella Patterson Bingham. She died June 20, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Donna was the 15th of the 16 children in the family. In her early years, she became blind from meningitis, and consequently, she attended the School for the Blind in Ogden, Utah, until her graduation.
Among Donna’s many talents, she was an outstanding musician, having a beautiful voice, and she also played the piano with excellence. After having completed a course in medical terminology, Donna was employed as a medical transcriptionist for several years at Cottonwood Hospital in Murray, Utah.
Donna married Donald Andersen, and together they had a daughter, Delonna, and then were later divorced. She then married Donald Steele, and they had a happy marriage together until his death. Donna then married Robert Olsen who also later died.
Donna had a wonderful sense of humor, and was an excellent cook. She loved nature, and had a very sunny disposition. She was always very generous and giving, and took pride in her clean house. Through the years, Donna had seven Guide Dogs that were the joy of her life.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews, two husbands Donald Steele and Robert Olsen, as well as her beloved daughter, Delonna.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015, 11:00 am at the Millstream Ward chapel on 3400 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City, with a viewing at 10:00, one hour prior to the service.
