Donna Luke

Our beloved friend passed away on Jan. 2, 2013 at home. She was born to Marcellus Bills and Dora Rife on April 16, 1924, SLC, Utah. After Dora’s passing her father married Thelda Egan. Donna married Charles Gilbert Luke on June 13, 1952 and had 5 children, Timothy, George, Mark, Christine, and Valerie; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was a proud veteran of the U. S. Navy, where she met her husband. While she was in the service she was a blueprint technician. She was a member of the LDS Church, serving in many positions and was known for seeing the good in all. Donna was an artist and passed the talent along to all of her children and grandchildren and even passed it along to her husband. She loved music, playing the piano, singing in the choir and dancing. She had season tickets to Ballet West for over 20 years.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, 11 a.m. at the Granger 6th Ward, 3276 S. Hillsdale Dr., WVC. A viewing will be held on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Memorial Mortuary, 5850 S. 900 E., Murray, and 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Mt. View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 E. 7800 S., Cottonwood Heights.
