Donna Bailey Namauu, 85, died in her home of natural causes on Apr 21, 2016. Born Feb 14, 1931, in Salt Lake City, UT, to Joseph and Annie Walker Bailey. Married February 14, 1964 to her sweetheart, Gladiol Namauu, in the Salt Lake Temple, Donna was devoted to her family.
Donna’s life was that of service. She worked as a teacher in Salt Lake City and volunteered hundreds of hours at Franklin Elementary. She was dedicated to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and served faithfully in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Donna served an LDS Mission in the Oklahoma/Missouri area in 1956 and later had numerous church callings. Donna was the organist for the 29th Ward for over 19 years. Even when it became difficult for her, she continued, as this was a part of her character. Nothing besides her grandchildren, gave her more joy than to be of service. Donna is survived by her 5 children, Nalani Namauu, Noel (Tammy) Namauu, Neil (Michelle) Namauu, Charles Namauu, and Noelani Namauu; 10 grandchildren: Jordan, Bailey, Brittany, Kai, Clark, Kailani, Joshua, Ayden, Hina and Luke. Preceded in death by her parents, 3 siblings and husband.
Graveside service for family and close friends, will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT.
