Donald S. Miyake

Donald S. Miyake, age 80, passed away at home on July 19, 2018. He was born on March 13, 1938 in Beryl, UT to Harry Ichitaro and Shizue Okuno Miyake.The family moved to Kemmerer, WY where he worked at their family’s business, Kemmerer Union Laundry and Dry Cleaners. He graduated from high school in Kemmerer and later after moving to Salt Lake, earned his Associates Degree in Applied Technology. He was a long time employee of Auerbach’s Department Store. He is survived by his sister, Helen Nakahara and brothers Paul, Henry and Robert (Akiko) Miyake, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Fred, Leo, George and sisters, Rose and Margie. A private family viewing will be held on 8-1-18, from 5-7 PM at Memorial Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, UT 84121. Interment will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
