Donald Wootton Gilbert

Donald Wootton Gilbert, born to Donald Smith Gilbert and Helen King Wootton April 16th 1939 , passed away on July 12, 2024, at the age of 85.

He is survived by his wife , Judith L. Gilbert, to whom he has been married to for 63 years; and his 4 children: Mark Gilbert (Terry Wall), Paula Delis (Steve), Steven Gilbert (Maren Rasmussen), Richard Gilbert (Lindsay Aldous).

He is preceded in death by his daughter Heidi Skinner (Byron) and his sister Gay Clark.

His grandchildren are his treasure: Lisa Johnson(Abe), Justine Skinner, Andrew Delis (Melina), Benjamin Delis, Josh Gilbert (Kam), Nathan Delis, Jaxon Gilbert, Elder Daniel Delis, Sister Ruby Salazar, Jarom Gilbert, Eva Salazar, CJ Salazar, Penny Salazar. and great grandchildren; Porter, Harper, Everett and Beckett Johnson.

Don loved his family, the outdoors, projects, and helping others. He is a loving member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

A visitation will be held, Wednesday July 17th 2024, from 9-10:00 am at the Cottonwood 5th Ward building, located at 5913 So Highland Drive in Holladay, Utah. A simple funeral service will be held at the same location following at 10:00 am. The burial will take place at the Holladay Cemetery.
