Donald Arthur Lee
“Big Don Lee from SLC”
Our sweet, wonderful father and grandfather passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018. He was born to loving parents Arthur and Elma Lee on July 9, 1931. He grew up in Salt Lake City with his parents and brothers Fred and Jerry Lee. He graduated from Granite High School, and married the love of his life, our mother, Carolyn Carlston in 1956. He retired from Kennecott Copper Corporation after many years. Dad and Mom had many friends and an extended loving family; creating tons of fun and very happy memories.
Dad was a caring and loving man who never had an unkind word for anyone. He had a talent for telling the best stories that triggered laughter to anyone around him. He loved to golf and bowled with Mom on several leagues for many years. In his younger years boxing was his passion. He was an avid sports enthusiast and never missed a good Western on TV.
He was preceded in death by his wife, whom he adored, his parents, brother Fred, and daughter Kim Parry. We know he is happy to be in their loving arms once again!
Survived by four children: Layne (Mike) Blanchard, Jeff Davis, Linda (Earle) Williams, Lisa Payne, brother, Jerry Lee, 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great- great grandchildren. Services will be held at the Memorial Lake Hills Cemetery, 10055 State Street, Sandy, UT, on Saturday, December 29 at 12:00pm with a viewing at 11:00am prior to the service.
