Don T Gilson- A Loving son, father, husband and Poppa, passed away January 12, 2018 at the age of 62. Dad was born in Ogden, Utah October 3, 1955. He lived in France for a short period of time when he was a child. Dad Grew up mostly in Ogden and in the Washington Terrace area.
Dad’s passion was working in the Large Digital Format Printing Industry. He was the proud owner of “Global Imaging Solutions” for 8 years. One of his proudest moments was being a part of the 2002 Winter Olympics by providing the majority of the Cityscape’s Tall Walls hanging from some of the largest buildings in downtown Salt Lake City. Dad loved to have a good time! He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. They were his world. Dad was a true “49er Faithful” and so are we because of him! Watching the games won’t ever be the same without you, dad!
Don was survived by both parents, Don and Thelma Gilson of Santaquin; Wife Janet “Elaine” Gilson; Son, Don (Shay) Gilson; daughter, Jeanna Gilson; Grandchildren Monica (Josiah) Johnson; Kendall and Hunter Gilson; Great Grandson, Elijah Johnson; Brothers, Dirk (Linda) Gilson (CA); Brett (Penny) Gilson(WY); plus, all his nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, James S Gilson/Helen Verda York-Gilson and Melvin F Topham/Pearl Sybil Garfield-Topham
