Don Allgaier

On March 26, 2015, at age 84, Don journeyed home to join his sweetheart, parents, sisters, and best friend Orville in heaven. Born on May 22, 1930, to Clarence and Lilly Allgaier, he lived a blessed and abundant life. He married Murline Sorrells on October 30, 1953 and raised three wonderful children in Sandy, Utah. He enjoyed the outdoors, from boating and camping to hunting and fishing. He was a devoted husband and father, and served in numerous callings in the LDS Church. He also served friends and community alike through bowling, scouting, temple work, and at the senior center, where he became an accomplished woodcarver. He served his country proudly in the military and served always as a devoted son of the Lord.
Don is survived by his daughters Terri Gamble and Susan Fellows, son Alan Allgaier, sisters Lois and Pauline, brothers Arthur and Kurt, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Benita and Nellie, and his beloved wife Murline.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South (Bengal Blvd.), Cottonwood Heights, UT. A viewing will be held at the same location Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the service.
