Dolores Tedder

Dolores Mary McCartney Tedder, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, died March 10, 2018 at the age of 88. Full of compassion and humor, Dolores always thought first about the comfort and needs of those around her and contributed to numberless charities throughout her life. She will be deeply missed.
Born January 30, 1930 in Queens, New York to John Aloysius and Bridget “Betty” McCartney, Dolores was the fourth of seven children. She graduated from Mother Cabrini School in West Park, NY in 1946 and lived her life as a devout Catholic. She married John Tedder at St. Philip Neri Church, Bronx, NY, on March 27, 1956. They had two children, John David Tedder and Erika Mary Tedder.
Dolores is survived by her children John (Lynnette) and Erika; grandchildren Derek, Darian Warren (Joshua), and Olivia; and siblings John “Jack” McCartney (Mary) and Patricia Durkin (John, deceased).
In honor of Mom’s wishes, no services will be held, and she has been laid to rest at the Memorial Mountain View Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to the thoughtful staff of Inspiration Hospice for the loving care they gave mom during her final days.
