Dolores Mclaughlan

Dolores was born in Burley, Idaho on September 6, 1931. She passed away in the hospital on August 14, 2016. She was married to Gerald “Jerry” McLaughlan on December 13, 1947. Dolores was a co-owner of Western Fence Company; she was an avid reader, an accomplished calligrapher, she loved quilting, singing, playing Pinochle, bowling, and supporting her children and grandchildren in their many endeavors. She loved to travel, especially to Scotland and Alaska. She was a huge fan of the Denver Broncos and Utah Jazz. She also loved making lifelong friends. Dolores also had a deep faith in God. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, parents, Howard and Hilla Bennett, brothers, Emmert, Vern, Max, and Richard (Pick) Bennett, and grandson Johnathon Nelson. She is survived by her children, Stephen (Margie) McLaughlan, Laura (Dave) Nelson, Jerry (Pat) McLaughlan, and Daniel (Jan) McLaughlan, twenty grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren, and seven great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Parkway Ward at 12110 South 1300 West in Riverton, UT at 12 PM with a viewing 1 ½ hours prior with a graveside to follow at Memorial Redwood Cemetery at 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, UT.
