Dolores Fitzgerald

June 3, 1930 — October 11, 2013

With the soul of an artist and the heart of a warrior, Dolores Larsen Bryant Fitzgerald passed from this life to embark on her ‘big adventure’ on October 11, 2013.
Dolores, affectionately known as Sis, Yose, Lassie and D, was a true lady of dignity, simplicity, strength and beauty. A vibrant woman of few words and a wicked sense of humor, she always took the high road in life.
Dolores best expressed herself through her paintings, which adorn the walls of family and friends, her gourmet talents, and her gorgeous gardens.
Dolores was welcomed into this world on June 3, 1930 in Holladay, Utah, by her loving parents, Alva Walter and Dora Goodrich Larsen. She survived two husbands, Richard A. Bryant (d. 1972) and Glen E. Fitzgerald (d. 1994). Adoring mother to Mary (d. 2008), Frankie, Steven, Mark (Kathy), and Dennis (Dodee); loving sister to Glen (deceased), Ray (Karma), Dianne (John) and Karen (Tom); and grandmother to 14 and great-grandmother to 14. She will be sorely missed by all of us and will remain in our hearts forever.
We’ll be seeing you in all the old, familiar places,
That these hearts of ours embrace, all day through.
We'll be seeing you in every lovely summer's day,
In everything that's light and gay,
We'll always think of you that way.
We'll find you in the morning sun and when the night is new,
We'll be looking at the moon, but we'll be seeing you.
In celebration of her life, a gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 18th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84117.
Our heartfelt thanks to those who supported our family and cared for Dolores during this very difficult time.Special thanks to CNAs Shannon, Donna, and Brianna; Highland Care Center; andthe incredible, magicalhospice team at Community Nursing Services.
