Diane Willardsen Bohn passed away peacefully on September 5, 2017. She was born on July 13, 1935 in Preston, ID to Willis and Ella Willardsen. She spent her childhood in Loa, UT and moved to Salt Lake City when she was a teenager where she attended Granite High School. She married Cecil Bohn in 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away in 2015. She will be remembered as a warm and loving mother, grandmother and wife. She was a faithful and active member of the LDS Church.
Diane is survived by four daughters: Sharon (Christopher) Laub; Linda (Kent) Carlston; Marylou (Carl) Coates; Christine (Michael Schmitt) Bohn; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother Robert Willardsen; brother Frank Willardsen; sister Geniel VanDyke.
Diane had many health issues throughout her life and for many years she endured them with remarkable strength, resilience and determination. Optimism and hope along with caring and compassion for others were some of her greatest attributes. Diane has chosen to donate her body to the University of Utah Medical School for research.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, Sept 12 at 12:00 p.m. at Memorial Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Dr. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:45 preceding the service.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at Sunrise at Holladay.
