Diane was called back to heaven on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 from her home in West Valley City, UT. She had been battling chronic health issues for several years and had finally lost her battle. Everyone that knew or met her would say she was an easy going, loving and giving person that you couldn’t help but to love. Diane enjoyed being in the outdoors, whether it be camping in Uintas, taking a motorcycle ride or just an outside BBQ, she was always up for it. She loved spending time with her family and looked forward to everyone coming over for her Christmas gathering every year. She was a great cook and was always dabbling with new recipes or perfecting other goodies, her famous mashed potatoes will be missed at Thanksgiving. She was never very scholastic, but was very well read and could have easily been a contestant on Jeopardy. Diane had a fondness for horses and enjoyed raising, training and taking care of them. She instilled her love of animals in general in all her kids and that has carried through to her grandkids as well. She was especially attached to her 2 dogs Molly and Cara, who will definitely miss her companionship. Diane was always there for her loved ones and helped raise all 6 of her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with them and was always around from the time they were born until the time they all became adults.
Mom, Grandma, we love you and you will truly be missed.
Diane is survived by her husband, Gary Addison, one brother, Daniel Smith, her 3 grown kids: Mark Crary of West Jordan, Utah, Daphne Shoulders of California and Marcy Green also of West Jordan, Utah; a stepson, Gregory Addison of Murray, Utah, as well as her 6 grandchildren; Azia, Morgan, Allyssa, Jayda, Levin, and Mia.
Diane was a simple person that didn’t need much, but didn’t want a huge fuss made over her and so as to honor her wishes, there will be no funeral services or gatherings.
