Diane E. Curtis, age 76, died on Sunday, September 20, 2015. She was born on February 27, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Herman and Ruth Doelle. Diane married Orin H. “Bud” Curtis on November 26, 1960.
Diane successfully raised four boys while still finding time for her husband, parents, extended family, and those in need. If this didn’t keep her busy enough, she volunteered for several organizations whenever she was asked. After the boys were raised, she turned to arts and crafts to spend her free time, but always dedicated her time for those in need.
Diane had many interests and participated in running a successful family business in southern Utah during the 1960’s. She was a very talented classical pianist, loved music and arts of all kinds, caring for animals and nature conservation, fishing, camping, rock hunting, bowling, and loved her beloved Denver Broncos! She was loved and respected by her friends and family due to her quest for honesty, demand for respect and dignity to others, caring and compassion to those in need, and always having a wonderful sense of humor, even through rough waters.
Diane is survived by her four boys, Eduard A. “Tony” (Connie) Curtis; David O. (Stephanie) Curtis; Martin M. (Christina) Curtis; Ronald L. Curtis and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ruth Doelle; brothers Herman Doelle, Jr. and Ronald Doelle; sister Juanita Doelle (Kartchner) and her husband Orin “Bud” Curtis.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 26, 2015 with a viewing held one hour prior at 11:00 am, at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
