Dewane “Duane” Ladell Helf

Duane Ladell Helf passed away surrounded by his loving family from Lewy bodies dementia on June 9, 2022, at the age of 82.
He is survived by his wife Sharon and his children Staria, Elizabeth, Sheri, Dustin, Joshua, his stepchildren Randy, Shan, Terry, and Mark. 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, his sisters Helen and Shauna, and his brothers Lavell and Mark.
Duane graduated from Murray High School.
Duane worked as a contract supervisor, he started his own business as a general contractor and maintained the business for over 30 years helping family, friends, and clients. He was a perfectionist in his business, everything he touched had to be perfect. If he had a problem he couldn’t solve, he would lay awake at night figuring it out until he found the solution. He was always tidy with his job and cleaned up each day so he would be ready for the next day. He was always ready and eager to help everyone around him.
Duane was a huge car lover, he loved driving his 1928 Ford and his 1954 Chevy. He loved going to car shows, and camping with his family and friends.
Duane was a very special person, everyone who knew him knew how much he cared about them, and he would always help others before helping himself. He was loved by everyone who met him.
The family welcomes everyone to share stories about Duane and his life at his celebration of life.
