Dennis Keith Ison

Dennis Keith Ison, born on July 27, 1947, in Murray, Utah, passed away on October 10, 2024, in Provo, Utah. Dennis devoted his life to serving others and embraced the principles of faith, deeply cherishing his father in heaven and his son, Jesus Christ.

Throughout his life, Dennis was known for his unwavering generosity and willingness to help those in need. His kind spirit and readiness to lend a hand made him a cherished figure in the lives of many. Dennis's proudest accomplishment was serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1966 to 1968 in the Southern California mission, a testament to his strong faith and commitment to aiding others.

Dennis had a passion for the outdoors, and his hobbies reflected a love for adventure. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spent many joyful moments playing softball and enjoyed snowmobile drag racing in his younger years. His fondness for creativity extended to working on his beloved VW bug, which he treasured over the years.

He is survived by his brother Kevin Ison; sisters Mary J. Moore and Arlene Swenson; and sister-in-law Joni Ison. His legacy continues through his loving children, Andrea Ison, Wendy Quintana, Travis Ison, Amber Combes, and Kimberly Ison, as well as his son-in-law Dennis Combes and daughter-in-law Mandy Ison. 8 grandchildren and 2 great grand children

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver S. Ison and Beverly Tobler, and his brother Ronald Ison. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and his enduring spirit will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

A funeral service to honor Dennis’s life will be held on October 18, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, located at 6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT 84123. The family invites all who knew and loved Dennis to join in celebrating his remarkable life and the impact he had on those around him.
