Dennis Allen “Denny” Taylor, Sr.

October 21, 1947 — December 18, 2019

Denny was born in Salt Lake City, UT to Catherine and J. Grant Taylor on October 21, 1947. He passed away peacefully with family by his side on December 18, 2019.
He was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT. He was drafted into the military in 1968 during the Vietnam War. He was a carpenter in the military and continued that trade through the remainder of his life until retirement. He married Anna Versteeg Taylor in December of 1969, later divorced. They remained friends for the remainder of his life.
He enjoyed many things like collecting coins, metal detecting, restoring classic vehicles, car shows, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, hanging out with his family and his beloved dog Daisy… just to name a few. He was a man of few words with “I guess”, “yup”, “I’d imagine” being a frequent response to any question you asked him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Catherine and J. Grant, and his brothers; Steve and Grant.
He is survived by his four children; Denny (Michelle) Taylor, Jr., Joanie (John) Limb, B. Chuck Taylor, and Mickey (Lindsay) Taylor, his 9 grandchildren; Adrian, Chaz, Brenon, Jace, Ben, Ari, Gage, Julianna, and Carson. He is also survived by his “brother by another mother” and our Uncle Leroy.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 21st from 11:00-12:30 at Memorial Mountain View, 3115 E. Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, with interment to immediately follow at the same location.
The family would like to thank Hearts for Hospice for their care.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Shriner’s hospital.
