Denis Patrick Downing

Denis Patrick Downing, 78, passed away on November 2, 2023 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Richard Denis and Dorothy Collins Downing.

Denis served in the United States Navy from 1964-1967.

He was an accomplished artist who was passionate about his talent. He especially enjoyed painting southwest scenes, trains and other scenes of the Southwest. Denis had a number of showings in galleries in different locations.

Denis is survived by a brother Richard D. Downing and spouse Mary C. downing. Two nephews Fr. Sean Downing SM, St. Louis, Mo. Rev. Ryan P. downing (Jennifer) Iowa City, Iowa. A niece Elizabeth Downing Brennaman (Mark) Xenia, Ohio and five great nieces and nephews.

Denis is also survived by his cousin

Tom Agular Downing of Aurua, Colorado.

He is preceded in death by Father Richard in 1974 and Mother Dorothy in 2002.

Services will be determined at a later date.
