Delroy Atwood

Delroy Atwood passed away on January 4, 2019 in West Jordan, surrounded by his family, after battling cancer for many years. He was born March 7, 1937 to William Dean Atwood and Mary Azelia Atwood, in Elmo, Utah. He is survived by his three Children; Sherrie (Lee) Hall, Tammy (Leeland) Petersen, Roy (Michelle) Atwood. He is also survived by his wife Kathy Monk Atwood, whom he married 2015, and their 6 Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; Lynda Atwood, Donna Bailey, parents William Dean and Mary Azelia Atwood and brother Ronald Atwood.
He worked for South East Ready Mix. He began driving for Ideal and Geneva Rock in 1961 and retired in 1999. He loved driving his cement truck.
He liked going to Yuma to hang out with the willow people. He also liked to go camping, fishing, attending his grandkids soft ball games and when family projects were being done, he liked to be the supervisor.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, with a graveside service to follow.
Delroy will be missed by all who knew him.
