Delma Syndergaard

On September 25, 2013, our mother chose to leave this earthly existence and join her eternal companion, Rodney Eugene, and their four sons. Mom was born April 12, 1926 in Tropic, Utah to Gilbert and Vida Campbell. She married the love of her life in the Manti Temple on August 3, 1942 and spent the next 53 years together until his death in 1995. She is survived by five children, Jerry (Dalene), Shirley Perry (Michael), Marie Jensen (Mark), Carol Syndergaard, and Joseph Syndergaard. Preceded in death by Jay Syndergaard, three infant sons, parents, two sisters and three brothers. She leaves a legacy of 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Mother had a tenacity to live life to its fullest, and in doing so, accumulated many friends. To those friends we say “thank you” for sharing Mom’s life experiences. Mother’s ability to overcome physical challenges in her life was an example to all that perseverance and determination is a great prescription to live a fulfilled and complete life.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 3, 2013 in the Whitewood LDS Ward located at 3555 West 5920 South in Taylorsville at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held at the Redwood Memorial Mortuary, Wednesday, October 2nd from 6 to 8 p.m. and again one hour prior to services.
