Della Enriquez Anderson

February 22, 1938 — March 4, 2020

Della Frances Anderson passed away on March 4th, 2O2O at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 22,1938 in Salt Lake City to John Sabino and Rose Duran Enriquez. She was the oldest of eight children and she loved each and every sibling unconditionally. Her family and multitude of friends meant everything to her. She was an amazing mother, Her husband and boys were her life, She loved to visit with family and friends and it was important to stay connected with everyone through her frequent phone calls. Her greatest passion was being with her husband and family. Whether it was getting together for family meals, sleepovers with her sisters or just hanging out and reminiscing about past and current times. In her earlier years she loved to camp and fish which she came to love thru her husband Earl. He loves the
outdoors and so she learned to love it as well. Some of her fondest memories were spending summers with her maternal Grandmother in Durango, Colorado. She was fortunate to spend most every summer with her as a little girl. She would talk of the freedom and her ability to roam around in Durango, with or without her Grandma. Sometimes, her brother, Jim would tag along, but she preferred having her Grandmother to herself. She cherished the simpler times and never did embrace all the modern technology. From oldies on the radio to old movies, she enjoyed how they would bring back old memories of her younger self. She became a mother like figure to her younger brothers and sisters. As a young girl she spent many years helping her mother raise them. She would make sure holidays were special and their birthdays did not go
unnoticed. When Della began work at one of her first jobs, she met and quickly became best friends with a lady named Bernice Anderson. Although Bernice was much older they connected in a way only best friends do. Bernice would often talk about her son, Earl and daughter, Roma. Della expressed interest in meeting her son, so although cautious, Bernice introduced her to her son, Earl. They quickly fell in love and were married. Their love and dedication to each other resulted in a marriage of 61 years together.
Della was so proud to be a wife, mother, grandmother and recently, great grandmother.
Della is survived by her loving husband, Earl; Son Daren (Tracy) Anderson, her amazing Grandchildren; Elizabeth ( lssac) Paetsch, Joshua Anderson, Xavier Anderson, Orion Anderson and two loving great grandchildren, Apollo Sagan Paetsch and Serenity Marie Anderson. She is also survived by her eternally grateful sisters; Ruth (Mike) Dixon, Joyce (Russell) Swan, Sharon (Scott) Olds and brother Ben (Debbie) Enriquez, sister in-law Roma McBride and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by loving Son; Jason, her parents, parents in-law, Sister Debbie Franco, brothers Jim and Chris, nephews, Cory Burt and Rick Enriquez.
Words cannot express the gratitude we as a family feel for the loving care and attention Earl bestowed on our Mother and sister. His patience, love and attentiveness he showed her will never be forgotten. Also, thank you to the caregivers at Rocky Mountain Hospice. You are truly angels.
You will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. Goodbye for now.
