Delene Ann Gilbert (Dee)

Dee was born September 19th, 1962 in Ogden Utah, to June Marsh & Lawrence Searle.
She passed away on June 14th, 2018 in Las Vegas Nevada after her long battle with breast cancer, she had been in remission when it aggressively migrated to Metastatic Breast Cancer. She was only 55 years old.
Dee had the biggest heart in the world, there is nothing she wouldn’t do just to see the ones she loved with a smile on their face. Dee would take all the kids under her wing as if they were her own, everyone knew her as mom and she wouldn’t have it any other way. You would never meet a better cook than Dee, everyone loved her cooking and she knew it. Dee had a love for NASCAR races, Hello Kitty & Betty Boop. Although she loved the smaller things in life, there is nothing she loved more than her kids and her grandchildren. Her grandkids gave her life, and her eyes just lit up anytime she was around them. They brought her the biggest joy and she is going to be missed very dearly. Dee lost her only son in 2010, and  although she’s no longer here with us on earth, she is reunited with her  son once again.
She is survived by her daughters Brittney Gilbert-Vincent (Brad), Ashley Gilbert (Tyron) & Melissa Forman-Becker; her Grandchildren, Alisha (Kohl), Daisha, Savanna, Arianna, Aaliyah, Hazel, Joseph, Jessica, Sabrina & Evelyn And her four-legged Grandson Clifford, as well as her Ex-Husband (But always her Best Friend) John A. Gilbert.
Delene is Preceded in death by her Sweet Son Dustin Gilbert, her loving fiancé Derrick Hildreth, as well as her sister Linda Faye, her brother Kent Bingham and both of her parents June Marsh & Lawrence Searle.
A viewing will be held July 19, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Memorial Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S. Highland Drive, Holladay. Funeral Services will be held July, 20, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the same location with viewing beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Memorial Holladay Cemetery, 4900 S Memory Lane, Holladay, Utah 84117 where she will be laid to rest alongside her son.  Everybody is welcome to attend.
Anybody wishing to make any donations to Dee can be made at any Wells Fargo bank under Delene Gilbert’s name. Although you may be gone, you will NEVER be forgotten.
