Debby Sue Rogers, 59, passed away in her sleep at home on December 29th, 2019 in Cottonwood Heights, UT after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 28th, 1960 to Billy and Sandy Rogers (Magnon) in Fort Collins, CO.
Debby was the Public Relations Manager for the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, UT. Prior to that, she produced TV News for multiple Salt Lake City Stations including KSTU/Fox News, KSL/NBC News, KTVX/ABC News, and stations located in Columbus, OH, Dayton, OH, Reno, NV, Las Vegas, NV and El Paso, Texas. She graduated with Honors from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Psychology.
Survivors include her daughter Shelby Marie (Chris) Block from Salt Lake City, UT. Her parents Sandy and Bob Magnon from Roswell, NM and Billy ( Brenda) Rogers from Las Vegas, NM. Her brother Lyle (Jamie) Rogers from Colorado Springs, CO. Her nephew and nieces Sean and Megan Rogers from Denver, CO and Clare and Shea Fitzgerald from Albuquerque, NM. Her grandparents Salty and Margaret Sparks and her paternal grandparents Alfred E. Rogers Sr and Gertrude M. Rogers from Las Vegas, NM, proceeded her in death.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday January 18th at the Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery in Cotton Wood Heights, UT.
