Deanna Joy Bowman Lloyd died November 24, 2016, in a local hospital of cancer. She was born April 15, 1941, in Vienna, Johnson County, Illinois, to Marion Ralph and Grace Mae Miller Bowman.
She married C. Ralph Lloyd January 30, 1970 in Roosevelt, Utah and their marriage was solemnized March 7, 1981 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Her joy was full when their daughter Dana Gay and their son Brandon Bowman were born and her dream of motherhood was fulfilled.
Deanna was a member of the LDS Church and spent many hours working with the cub scouts and helping her son to complete requirements for his Eagle Scout Award. She also worked for several years with the Girl Scout program and supported her children in all their activities. Her family was always her top priority.
She was talented in needlework and loved working with her hands making pretty things which she shared with others. She loved quilting at the Senior Citizen Center where she served in many capacities including president and treasurer at the time of her death. Reading was another of her favorite pastimes and she enjoyed camping with her husband and family.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph; children, Dana Gay Lloyd, Delta; Brandon Bowman Lloyd, Tooele; step-children, Merilee Ibarra, Allen (Nancy) Lloyd, and Paul Lloyd, all Salt Lake City area; grandchildren, Jordan and Austin Hall, Grace, Charlene, Sarah, Rachel and Jacob Lescher, Dillon Lloyd, Cassidy Daily, Crystal, Briana and Chandler Lloyd; brother and sister, Burke and Dearwyn Bowman Eldredge, Sandy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Phil K. and Mary Jo Lloyd, Sandy; Shirley Lloyd, Campbell, CA; Janet and Mike Christensen, West Jordan; and a special nephew she considered another son, Jason and his son Jayden Eldredge, Midvale; and Lloyd nieces and nephews. She is also survived by step-brothers, Gilbert (Alice) Hullinger, David (Elaine) Hullinger, Phillip (Sharon) Hullinger, John (Korinne) Hullinger and step-sisters, Fay (Hugh) Girsberger, Teresa (Harold) Munn, Amelia (Dennis) Garner and many step-nieces and step-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her parents-in-law, Jesse and Mary Lloyd of Midvale, her special nephew/son Michael Eldredge and her step-father, Hollis G Hullinger.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:45 am Wednesday, November 30, 2016 with funeral services beginning at noon at the Midvale East 5th Ward, 240 East 7570 South, Midvale. Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Blvd. (7800 South).Service Information
