Deanna (Dee) Davis Egan passed away at Legacy House in South Jordan, Utah on Thursday September 2, 2021. Her devoted son Clay was by her side. She was 83 years old.

Dee was born September 29, 1937, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended South High School and began her career at LDS hospital in the admitting department. She retired from Intermountain Healthcare as a family needs and eligibility counselor doing what she did best, providing financial help and counseling to patients and their families.

Dee married Fredric Karl Egan January 15, 1969, and later sealed in the Salt Lake City temple. During their marriage, the family moved to Galveston, Texas where Karl held a position at American National Insurance Company and Dee worked for the University of Texas Medical Branch. During this tenure, Karl and Dee were instrumental in establishing the first ward and meeting house of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Galveston Island.

Dee will be fondly remembered for her caring and service-oriented heart and her capacity to love others.  Many of her friends called her mom. She will be dearly missed.
