Dean “Dean-o” Kent Coffey returned home to his Heavenly Father on September 8, 2014 after suffering from a stroke surrounded by family and friends. Dean has always been the sunshine of our lives and saw the good in everyone. He spent all of his days dedicated to his family and serving the youth of his ward. Dean was born to Wendell Coffey and Karen Christensen on December 3, 1963 in Salt Lake City. Dean married his best friend Deb on October 19, 1988, later solemnized in the Bountiful Temple. Together they had six children who were the love of his life.
Dean is survived by his wife Deb, his children Ashley Campbell (Ben), Andrew, Matthew, Chase, Addy and Cameryn; granddaughter Audrey; his mother Karen Christensen Coffey; brothers John, Peter (LaNae) and his 12 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Wendell.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 12, 2014, 11:00 am, LDS Chapel-2126 E. Gyrfalcon Dr. (10000 S.). Friends may visit on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and prior to the services on Friday at the stake center from 9:00-10:30 am.
