Dawn Nichol Spencer

December 20, 1938 — July 12, 2016

Dawn Nichol Spencer, age 77 passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born December 20, 1938 in Montpelier, Idaho the daughter of Dallas Wayne and Leith (Austin) Nichol.
Dawn graduated from Olympus High School and the University of Utah.  She married David Raymond Spencer.  She was a registered nurse and retired from Primary Children’s Hospital.
Dawn enjoyed her family, traveling, camping, sailing with Dave, watching her grandchildren race motorcycles, playing sports; she was an avid reader, she liked historical books especially European history and historical novels.  In her younger years she was active with the girl scouts and served as a troop leader.
Dawn is survived by her loving husband David; sons David R. Jr. (Katherine); Brian A. (LaNae); daughter Evelyn (Robert) Partner; grandchildren Christopher, Andrea, Genevieve Partner, Karlie (Ryan) Nelsen, Darcie, Celesta, Keanu Spencer; brothers Jack (JoAnn), Jay (Susan), Larry (Sandy); sisters Wanda Olmstead, Irene (Ivan) Munson, RaNae (Cliff) Faucett.  She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Douglas Victor Spencer, brother Merlin.
A memorial service will be held Saturday 3:00 p.m. at the Draper 6th Ward 12770 South 1300 East.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m.
Dawn’s family requests those attending the service wear pink or coral, as this was Dawn’s favorite color.
