David W. Gile, born April 1, 1965 in Salt Lake City UT, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2022. Dave was a loving husband, father, Papa, son, brother and friend. He is survived by wife Chona’, son Lincoln (Lexi), daughters Alysha (Ben) and Destinee, son Dakoda, and grandchildren Rhyder, TynLeigh, Huntlei and RaiLynn. He married the love of his life Chona’ on May 27, 1995.
Dave’s greatest joy in life was his family. Whether it was at the lake, running down to St. George, attending grandchildren’s competitions and sporting events, as well as having the infamous “movie night”, he loved spending time with his family as often as possible. Dave also enjoyed golfing, bowling with his league, watching the Utah Jazz, football, especially his Utes & his Cowboys, and just hanging out with friends. Dave & Chona’ loved spending time together, traveling to some “beach” location, one of the many lakes around, St George, or just snuggling up on the sofa together.
Dave was known for his humor, his generosity, his hospitality, and all-around caring nature. He made an impact on everyone he came in contact with. He was the life of any gathering, telling jokes and entertaining stories or offering his warm smile and hugs to everyone. He loved watching all of the Disney and children’s shows, even if it was just the adults watching!
Dave will be deeply missed by his family, his friends and anyone who was lucky enough to have met him.
Viewing will be held 9-11a on Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Draper 1st ward house 12353 S. 600 E. Draper, UT with Funeral Services directly following at 11:30a in the same location. Interment Mountain View Memorial Park.
