David Taylor

David Llewellyn Taylor
Aug. 31, 1968 – June 19, 2021
David passed away at his home in Springville, Utah. He had been in and out of hospitals for many years and it finally took a toll on him. He is the fourth of five children of Delbert and Janet L. Taylor.
He graduated from Granite High school in 1986. He took college courses in bookkeeping and accounting which guided him through his entrepreneurial adventures throughout his life. From Quick Tents to commercial trucking licenses, he was always up for something new. He was always a very vibrant and young soul who never quite grew up. This was refreshing as he always kept a happy spirit alive. David was an extremely avid hunter and fisherman. He was a certified guide and taught this skill professionally as well. As big of a goofball as he was, this man was very tech-savvy and always working on something new.
David was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. When asked, his Bishop said he was a great example of Christ like attributes, such as generous, kind, upbeat, and cheerful. He was a friend to many and was willing and wanting to serve where he could. He had a great heart and a desire to do good. He tried to face his challenges and shortcomings with resolve to be better.
David had a lifetime of life changing mishaps and health issues starting from childhood. He found himself struggling with physical and mental illness because of it and unfortunately, this lead to another life taken by the opioid crisis in one way or another. He was not quite himself for a very, very long time. He was always a very lucky, unlucky guy. How many people do you know who get struck by lightning three times and live to tell the tale?
David prided himself most on his family and his love for each of them. He always put smiles on everyone’s faces and was one of the most funny and loudest in the building. A TAYLOR through and through!
David had the pleasure of knowing four beautiful, amazing women. Three with whom he shared children with and one with whom he remained friends till the end. He leaves behind children; Chelsie, Lacee, Shelby, Stetson and Sydnee as well as two grandchildren, his mother Janet Llewellyn Taylor Fink, siblings; Jeanine Davidson (Will), Brent Taylor, Kathleen Whiting (Shane), Daren Taylor (Tyra), aunts, uncles, cousins and many nieces and nephews whom he loved and adored. Also left behind are many friends including Leslie Taylor who loved and stood by him with her all. We will all miss him greatly. Special thanks to his amazing bishops and friends who took care of him to the end.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Fay and Mina Llewellyn, grandparents Stanley and Mildred Taylor, father Delbert Taylor, uncle Mel Taylor, sister-in-law Dusty Taylor, great nephew William, and great niece Indy Llew. We know he’s up in heaven spending time with all of them, fishing with his dad, laughing, eating sweets “gloriously” and talking non stop!
