David H. Tanner, 68, Born: 10/23/1945, Died: 2/9/2014. David is surprised to find himself listed in the obituaries following catastrophic complications of a minor heart procedure. He had planned to go to Mexico this week! Instead he is taking the greatest trip ever back to his Heavenly Father. If ever a man was ready to meet his maker, it was David. He spent his life in quiet, often unseen, service to others. He was not a lime-light-seeker, preferring to work in the periphery. He had a great love of The Lord. He was a valiant faithful member of the LDS church. He bore his many health issues with courage and patience; few knew of his constant pain as he kindly inquired about their problems, offering help, or free car repair. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Janet and his children: Annett Stauffer, Jason, Peter, Benjamin, Camille, Elizabeth, Eric (Jen), 8 3/4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and many other loved family members. While he was sorry to leave this life so abruptly, for he had many projects and plans, we know he is rejoicing in the next life. Following his wishes there will be a time of “visitation” on February 12, 2014 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Redwood Memorial Mortuary (6500 S Redwood Rd) immediately followed by interment. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the LDS Missionary Fund. David would wish to give you all a hug and tell you how much he loved you.
