David Duane Stanworth, 74, passed away on January 16, 2015 at the Intermountain Medical Center, Murray, with his loving family by his side. He was born on April 17, 1940 in Park City, UT, to Duane and Illa Stanworth. David is preceded in death by his parents, sister Janet and brother Max.
Dave worked many jobs in his life, but found a home in the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) where he dedicated over 40 years in various departments. He gained so many friends at his job and he loved his work!
Dave loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, dirt biking, exploring, but most importantly, spending that time with family. He was an avid car fan and loved to drive fast cars. His black Mercury was legendary in Delta and his green Corvette won many trophies while he was a member of the Corvette Club. Dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin and friend Dave, was loved and cherished for his council, wisdom, and great wit.
He is survived by wife, Joyce; sons, David (Trish), Don, and Dustin (Tara); brothers, Rex (RaeMi) and Jim(Cherie); step-children GayLynn, Vance, Joyce, Launa, Brenda and Elizabeth; 19 grandkids and 4 great grandkids.
Viewings will be held from 6-8:00 pm on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Redwood Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT and also on Saturday for one hour starting at 10:00 am. A graveside service will follow at Oasis Cemetery in Delta, UT at 2:00 pm.
He has left the most beautiful mark on those that knew him and will never be forgotten!
