Our dear sweet beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend, David Reich, returned to our Heavenly Father peacefully with loved ones on Tuesday, October 29, 2019. He was born October 28, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Erich and Helen, and was the youngest of 11 children.
No greater love for all did any man have. You could find David mowing his lawn, shoveling his and his neighbor’s walks (in his shorts), or delivering food to those in need, such as widows and family. He truly lived to serve others. David enjoyed playing games, whether it was board games with his family, cards with his grandchildren, or ping pong and pool with his friends.
As a young man he worked at the family owned Farmer’s Daughter as a cook. He served an LDS mission in Germany for two and half years. He worked for 30 years as a milkman and salesman for Winder Dairy, where he achieved many awards for his outstanding service. He was an example to all of a selfless soul. David always faithfully served his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
David is survived by his wife; Julie, his children; Jennifer, Jeremy, Jamie (Chris), and Chris, his stepchildren; David (Marnie), Jeanette, Sarah (Dan), James, and Cynthia, his grandchildren; Jacob, Khelben, Jasmine, Savannah, Samantha, and Ashley, his step grandchildren; Cenica, Aurora, Caroline, William, Anthony, Kyndra, Nathan, Cory, Emily, Olivia, and Shiloh, his sisters; Ruth, Marlene, Helen, and brother; Hyrum.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents; Erich and Helen, his sister; Viola, and his five brothers; Adolf, Clifford, Erich, Henry, and Alma.
Services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11:00, with a viewing one hour prior, at the Crescent 7th Ward located at 949 East 10600 South, Sandy. A viewing will also be held Friday, November 1, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 at the same location. Interment to follow at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery located at 3115 E 7800 S, Cottonwood Heights.Service Information
