David Orvill Caudill age 69 years old. Born January 3, 1954 in Twin Falls, Idaho passed away on April 16, 2023 in American Fork, Utah.
He was the son of Sam Wilson and Audrey Eva Caudill.
He was born in Twin Falls, Idaho and was the youngest of seven children.
He attended Hansen High School and was on the football team, played the bass fiddle and enjoyed chess.
He then went on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in Antonio, Texas. While on his mission he was the assistant to the mission president.
He returned home from his mission and came to live in Salt Lake City, Utah where he met and married Christina Vance in the Salt Lake City Temple on November 12, 1976 for time and all eternity.
From that union, four children were born. Audrey, Daniel, Rebecca, and Chris.
He had 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
David worked for Idaho Hide and Talo company in Twin Falls, Idaho. When he came to Utah he worked as a sharp shooter for the department of corrections and then was on the swat team. He retired from the department of corrections and then went on to be a probation officer for the state of Utah.
He also learned the trade of masonry where he helped brick many homes in the valley. A lot of those being the homes his family lived in and he never charged them a penny to do it. He was amazing at all that he did.
His main joys of life were hunting, fishing, and camping, they helped keep his mind busy and gave him time to think of new ways to fix or build things.
He loved to give to other people and was always looking for someone to help. He had the gift of gab and loved to counsel and help everyone. He also tried to look for the good in everyone. In his later life he loved to help the poor or those in need. He was a friend to many people and many loved him.
David is preceded in death by his wife Christina, his parents Sam and Audrey Caudill, his father- in- law Neldon Vance, his brother Samuel Caudill, and his sisters Mary Ann Belieu and Eva Ray.
David is survived by his children Audrey Honker, Daniel Caudill, Rebecca Deans, and Chris Turner, his mother-in-law Norma Vance, his brother Robert Caudill, and his sisters Audrua Taylor and Winonia Ward.
