David Nelson

David Ray Nelson was born on March 26, 1937 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Vaughn Stanford Nelson and Veda Amanda Pearce Nelson. He passed away March 21, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
David married Iris Jorgensen on April 8, 1960 in the Idaho Falls Temple.
He was a devoted family man, a pied piper of children, an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He held many callings. He was also a big fan of ice cream.
He is survived by his wife; his children, Jeanne (Jim) Retz, David Ray Nelson (Vyrl Ann), Rebecca (Scott) Hurd, Katherine (Brent) Taylor; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 12 siblings.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the Rose Park North Stake 7th Ward (North Chapel), 1155 North 1200 West, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held on the day of the service from 10:00-11:45 AM at the church. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah.
