David N Stevens

November 14, 1945 — December 2, 2016

David “Steve” Stevens passed away peacefully on December 2, 2016 surrounded by family. Illness took his life, but not his spirit. He was a powerhouse of a man. He couldn’t go anywhere in the valley without a hello and a thank you from the many people he touched. To know him was to love him.
He was born in Delta, Utah to David Elvin and Vera Christensen Stevens. He dedicated his life to education, service and family. He worked for 35 years with the Granite School District as a teacher and administrator. He truly loved his students and fellow educators.
David was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including Bishop. He married the love of his life Carolyn Stevens on June 7, 1968. Together they attempted to raise 7 children; the jury is still out! We will always remember who we are, what we stand for, and most of all who will always love us.
David is survived by his wife Carolyn, children: Jennifer, David H. (Chalese), Michael (Jessica), Jim, Mandy (Jerry), Nathan (Amber) and Trish (Ben). 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers: Rulon, Larry, Chris and 1 sister, Jody. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Elva Lynn, and grandson; Kaleb.
