David Liddell Olney

1939 – 2021
David Liddell Olney passed away May 17, 2021. David was born September 2, 1939 in Prescott, Arizona to George and Anne Olney. He married his “brown eyed sweetheart”, Billie Mae Bigelow, on May 27, 1960, later solemnized in the Manti Temple on June 26, 1966 for time and all eternity. David was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and will be missed by all.
David spent over 50 years as a truck driver and traveled over 5 million miles. He enjoyed camping, watching NASCAR, reading and spending his retired years with his true love. David loved his family and getting together for parties and holidays.
David is survived by his wife Billie Mae Olney, and their children; Randy David Olney (Carmen), Ron Lidell Olney (Christen), Sherri Mae Nelson (Robert); 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Jaime Olney (Mary Lee). He is proceeded in death by his parents, and his grandson Rhett Nelson.
A viewing will be held Sunday May 23, 2021 at Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah 84070 from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held, Monday May 24, 2021 11:00 at the Crescent Park 4th Ward; 10885 Pampas Way, Sandy, UT, with a viewing before from 10:00-10:45 A.M.
