David E Jones, an accomplished Architect with projects spanning across the intermountain West including Alaska, has passed away at the age of 89. He was born on November 20, 1934, and left this world on June 26, 2024, in Murray, Utah.
David's passion for architecture was evident in his work throughout his life. Having attended the University of Utah and graduating with a degree in Architecture, he pursued his dreams and left a remarkable legacy behind. His designs will continue to inspire many in the years to come.
Apart from his successful career, David had a wide range of interests that brought him joy. He found solace in skiing, cherished family outings, took pleasure in spending time at his cabin in Alta as well as enjoyed boating adventures on Lake Powell and Flaming Gorge.
David E Jones is survived by his beloved wife, Ardis Jones, who stood by his side through thick and thin. His memory will be forever cherished by his children: Makell and John Penrose, Jami Jones, Phil Jones, Kathy and Nate Williams.
Preceded in death by his parents Horace T. and Laura McBride Jones, his daughter Julie Critchfield, and grandson Devin Critchfield.
In this time of mourning, let us remember David for the exceptional individual he was - a loving family man, a talented architect, and a friend to many. His legacy will continue to live on through the impact he has had on those around him.
The funeral service to honor the life of David E Jones will be held at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, Cemetery and Pet Garden in Cottonwood Heights on July 1st, 2024 at 2:00 pm. The interment ceremony will immediately follow. May he rest in peace knowing he was loved by many.
