David Harry Langton

October 17, 1939 — August 16, 2019

Our beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa passed away on August 16, 2019 at 6:22 PM, in his home surrounded by his loving family, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was 79 years of age.
He was born on October 17, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Arthur and Eliza Langton.
David married Rose Ann Martinez Langton on September 16, 1960. She was the love of his life. He was a member of the Cannon 3rd ward.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Ann Martinez Langton, his two daughters Tonia Lynette Ward Langton and Elizabeth Genea Langton. His brother Lynn (Kelly) Langton, his grandchildren David Salinas, Christy Lynn Stevens, and Tiffany (Trevor) Morrison, many great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces whom he loved with all of his heart. As well as many relatives and friends.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Langton and Eliza Evans Langton, in-laws Emilia Martinez and Fredrick Martinez, brother Melvin Langton, Dean (Pauline) Hamilton, sister Carol (Will) Langton Larson. His son David Lynn Langton, grandsons Ronald David Herd and Joshua Robert Wells. As well as grandparents, uncles, nephews and nieces.
He loved camping, fishing, his garden, going to Wendover, going on cruises with Rose, but most of all he loved being with his family each and every one of you! He also loved going to coffee with the guys! He served in the United States Army.
David was the most kind, sweet and loving person to everyone he knew. He touched a lot of lives and the world will ache without him here in it.
We know you are in a better place now! Thank you God for not letting him suffer, he was a strong man who fought a hard fight with his illnesses for years. We all know all are with you in heaven. Please give Nana Little Ronnie and Joshua a special kiss from us. As well as our loved ones left behind. We will cherish every memory of you forever and always!
We want to give a George Lassche a special “Thank You” for giving my dad his last rights. We also want to thank Cannon 3rd ward for all their help in our time of need. And the VA and Hospice for all who cared for our dad! Last but not least, Thank You to every one of you in advance for all your love and support through this difficult time.
Please honor our dad by writing a memory, or sharing a picture with him, or anything you would like to write.
Funeral services will be held at the Cannon 3rd Ward, 1301 South 1200 West, Salt Lake City, Utah on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Viewings will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah on Thursday, and 9:30 – 10:45 AM prior to the services at the church on Friday. Interment to follow at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery where he will receive Final Honors performed by the United States Army.
