David F. Dautel

David F. Dautel passed away Nov 12, due to complications related to Pneumonia and heart failure. Dave was born in SLC UT on Oct 24, 1946. Dave was an avid reader and was always reading anything science related. Dave was also very skilled at anything electrical. He built his own full size console television before he was 20.
Dave married Diane Ruesch (divorced) and shortly thereafter began building his own house in West Bountiful. Dave Attended Weber State and Arizona State University where he studied Electrical Engineering. Dave worked for Dictaphone, and E-Systems,
Raytheon, and retired from MOOG Aircraft as an electrical engineer. Dave traveled extensively for his work and installed and maintained many Tactical Navigation Systems around the world for the Military. Dave was proud to be able to work on the global hawk and predator drone project. Dave was extremely talented with his hands and very mechanically inclined. He rebuilt many engines and cars and owned and enjoyed riding motor cycles throughout his life.
Dave is survived by his Partner John Maurice, ex-wife Diane Dautel, his four children
Ryan (Cheri) Dautel, Stacy (Marcus) Johnson, Chad (Carri) Dautel, Tyler Dautel, 12 grand-children, and his fur babies Gretta and Kaiser. Dave is no doubt spending time with those who predeceased him, mother Hilda Dautel, father Gustave Dautel and his sister Charlotte who he was very close to, and one brother Danny. Dave will be missed by his family and all those who knew him.
A Celebration of David’s life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday November 19, 2016 at Memorial Redwood 6500 South Redwood Road West Jordan, Utah. Friends and family may gather at the mortuary from 10:00 to 11:00 am. www.memorialutah.com
