Darlene Foster Vickers, age 85, passed away at home, on June 13, 2015, surrounded by her family. Born May 23, 1930 in Salt Lake City, UT to Wade and Ethel Foster. She was one of ten children. Darlene graduated from West High School. She retired from Mountain Bell as an operator/supervisor. Mom was an excellent cook, master crocheter and shared her talents with many. She enjoyed western line dancing, gambling in Wendover and Sunday morning trips to Walmart. Mom loved fishing, watching the seasons change, Dodgers baseball and NASCAR/RMR Racing, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Grandma was a wonderful role-model in their lives and will be greatly missed.
Darlene is survived by her three sons, Gary (Sallie, dec’d) Miller, Larry (Pat) Miller and David (Sue) Vickers; 13 grandchildren, Scott (dec’d), Michael (dec’d), Abigail, Jen (Nathan), Chris (Cindy), Jamie (Cody), Greg (Katie), Stefeni (Joe), Rachel V., Dennis (Nevin), Kurtis (dec’d), Sarah (Jacob) and Rachel B. (Brandon); 26 great grandchildren, Madison, Samantha, Lillie, Liberty, Gage (Bayli), Kylie, Shelbie, Wyatt, Chelsey (Dennis), Austin (Katelynn), Sierra, Mariah, Alexis, Shaelynn, Tyrone, Milo, Finnely, Beau, Riley, Ali, Lyla, Azure, Annabelle, Naira, Tenzin, Hendicks, and Baby Boy due in August; 3 great great grandchildren, David, Brently, Laynie, and one on the way; three brothers, Bill (Lois, dec’d), Dick (Pat) and Bob (Mary) and one sister, Marge.
