Darci Ann Hogensen Riccardi, 47, passed from this mortal life on May 21st and into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father. She entered this world on February 1, 1977. Her parents, Phillip Charles Hogensen, Jr. and Ann Beveridge Hogensen welcomed her with so much love. Her half-sister, Stephanie, was excited to have a new baby sister.
There are not words to express what an awesome, beautiful, brave, courageous, strong, and loving person Darci is! She set the bar so high for her family to deal emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually with difficult situations and trials. She is an amazing daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend, and an example to us all. She had the most kind and humble heart and was always thinking of others first. Darci and her mother had a very special bond and Darci was her mother’s best friend and confidante. Her presence brought light and warmth to every gathering.
Darci loved working at Wheeler Farm, and serving others with kindness and understanding. Through all her battles with breast cancer, malignant colon and bone cancer, it was lung cancer that took Darci from us so quickly.
Darci is survived by her husband, Lenny Riccardi; her son, Julien Jensen (Georgia); her step-sons Gio (Maria) and Vincent; her parents, Phillip, Jr. and Ann Hogensen; and her brother, Phillip (Caitlin). She adored her nephews, Charlie and Nicky Hogensen. Her extended family includes many aunts, uncles, and cousins. We will all miss her kind and happy personality. Her absence leaves a profound void.
She was welcomed on the other side of the veil by her grandparents, Pops and Babs (Phillip and Barbara Hogensen), Grandpa Doc and Grandma Jean (Robert and Jean Beveridge) and her sister, Stephanie Hogensen Maack and many aunts, uncles and friends who have passed before her.
