Obituary for Danny Jay Bradshaw
Age 76
Died on June 3, 2024, in Millcreek, Utah
He was born on August 31, 1947, in Berkeley, California to Robert Delos Bradshaw and Beulah Tanner.
Dan passed away unexpectedly after a surgical procedure. A man of many talents and profound faith, Dan’s life was marked by his service to others, his creative spirit, and his unwavering devotion to his family.
Dan loved the time he spent doing cowboy poetry, performing with his high school friends in Reunion ‘65, and bird-watching with Lowell and Gene.
Dan graduated from Granite High School in 1965. He served an LDS mission in the South Central States. In 1969 he married Jolene Firth, shortly after he honorably served in the Army National Guard with the 19th Special Forces Airborne.
Dan and Jolene were blessed with four daughters: Kristin, Megan, Rebecca, and Nancy. They were the pride and joy of his life.
Dan served as Bishop at the Utah State Prison, Assistant Director in corrections for the LDS church, a Pathway Missionary, Bishop of the Canyon Rim Ward, and an Ordinance Worker at the Draper Temple. Dan worked at many banks during his 40 years of employment. He retired and then developed more skills at GWT, a place he truly enjoyed.
Dan is survived by his wife Jolene, his daughters, 16 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Dan was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother Dick.
