Danise P. Barney

On the morning of August 11, 2018, DaNise Pantos Barney passed away surrounded by loved ones. She was born July 17, 1954 to George and Delores Pantos.
DaNise was a creative, vibrant, and giving person who inspired many. Those who had the privilege of knowing her knew friendship. Moments with DaNise were never dull; she was passionate about life and loved to have a good time. Her boisterous laugh was contagious and her loving heart was always sincere.
DaNise was a talented craft artist. She excelled in many areas, but her passion was in quilting, stained glass, and renovating houses. She loved to surround herself with several projects at once. She loved visiting Clarkston Utah to renovate her 120-year-old house, but she’d never forget to bring her other projects along with her.
Her loving husband of 32 years, Kevin Jay Barney, aided in every step of her dauntless fight against cancer. DaNise often said, “Having the cancer has been worth it just to have experienced the way it brought Kevin and I together.” She was good at seeing the bright side of hard situations.
DaNise will always be loved and remembered by her four children and their life partners, Erissa Michelle Burton (Sean), Kevin Jake Barney (Elena), Kortlin Roy Barney (Lindsay), and Luke Andrew Barney (Cassandra). She had five beautiful grandchildren who she cherished; Cole, Elijah, Penny, DaNeel, Emma, and one great-grandchild, Kaden.
A viewing will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT, on August 15th, 2018 and the funeral service will follow also at Memorial Redwood Mortuary.
