Daniel John Martinez

We are heartbroken to share that our beautiful son, Daniel John Martinez, has passed on April 30, 2022. Daniel (Bear) was born on March 11, 1986. He arrived on this earth, a few weeks early. He quickly grew into a delightful boy and came with a cheerful disposition.
Daniel is survived by his brother Michael (Sho) Martinez; Sho’s partner, Julie Jensen; two nieces, Billie Martinez and Stevie Martinez. Also, his parents, Samuel Castulo Martinez and Tonia Kay Nielsen Martinez; uncles, aunts, and many beloved cousins are also survived by him.
We want to especially thank John and the staff at Big Apple Pizza for their friendship over his years working there. He enjoyed his time there and had many good friends and customers. The family wishes to thank those who expressed thoughtful wishes and prayers on our behalf.
There will be a viewing for Daniel on Friday May 6th 2022, from 6:00-8:00; a viewing on Saturday May 7th 2022, from 9:30-11:00, and the funeral begins at 11:30. All services will be held at the Highland View Ward, 2890 South 2790 East, Salt Lake City, Utah 84109.
In lieu of flowers, his family suggests a donation to FCYD Camp UTADA, the foundation of Children and Youth with Diabetes, 1995 W. 9000 So, West Jordan, UT 84088.
