Daniel E. Harris

Daniel E. Harris, 82, of Salt Lake City, Utah, peacefully passed away at home on October 2, 2024, from a long two-year battle from cancer.

He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Raymond and Pearlie Harris. He was a Union Ironworker member of Local 27 for over 55 years. He enjoyed his work, woodworking in his home, hunting, trap shooting, and the many road trips while hunting antiques with his wife. 

Dan found his greatest joy as a husband and father. He met the love of his life in high school and later married Becky and had two sons, Daniel K. and Shawn R. whom he cherished.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Becky, sons and a brother David Harris.

Dan enjoyed his 60 years of marriage, and he will be greatly missed by those close to him.

Special thanks for the care of Dr. Scott Samuelson, of Quality Hospice, his nurses Shantel and Kristy.

Dan requested a simple “farewell”, and a “gathering” will be held Wednesday, October 9, from 6-8 pm at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah, 84121.

Dan, on your next adventure, go in peace until we meet again.
