Daniel H Holder

Daniel H Holder, 71, passed away February 2, 2019. Born to William (Bill) Henry and Florence Louise Johnston Holder on September 6, 1947. He was their first child and only son.
Dan graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City. He married Evelyn Jones on December 30, 1966. Together they had four children: ShanaLee, Craig, Brent, and Tara. They divorced in 1985. Dan and Evelyn lived in California in the early years of their marriage and while there Dan owned two gas stations. When Dan and his family moved back to Salt Lake City, he continued his love for car related activities. He built and raced sand cars, dune buggies, and modified VW Bugs. For several years he owned his own automotive body shop, repairing and painting vehicles.
Dan is survived by his sons Craig Holder, Brent Holder, his daughter Tera Holder Rose, four grandchildren, his mother Florence Holder, sister Joy Holder Abegg and many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his daughter ShanaLee Holder, his father William H. Holder and his brother-in-law Sherman T. Abegg.
Services were held privately by his family.
