Daniel F Christenson

Daniel Frank Christenson, age 47, died unexpectedly in his home in West Jordan on November 5th 2022. He was born on February 10th, 1975 at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City during a thundering snow storm to Larry Dennis Christenson and Susan Lynn Merrill Christenson.
Dan met and fell in love with Cassie when he was coaching her son’s baseball team. They were then married on the beach in San Diego California. Dan was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, who truly valued spending time with his family, whom he loved.
From his youth Dan has found joy in restoring and maintaining vehicles as a master mechanic. He loved working on his ’56 Chevy. Dan’s father worked for United Airlines and Dan developed a special love for planes. He also had an abiding respect for all those who protect our country by serving in the military.
Dan found a new passion for golf and loved to use his “therapy sticks” out on the green with family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors: camping, fishing, riding the trails, and smoking meat. Dan was a certified “Cheese Head” and truly enjoyed cheering for his Green Bay Packers.
Dan was a LRV maintenance supervisor team coordinator and worked for UTA for over 22 years. Dan is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Surviving Dan are his loving wife, Cassie; sons, Nick (Janessa), Jeremiah, Jaxon and Jacobe; mother, Susan; brother, Mike (Kristine); sisters, Maren and Shelly; and his fur baby Hazel Bean. He was preceded in death by his father Larry Dennis Christenson and his grandparents Frank and Wanda Christenson.
Funeral services for Dan will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8834 South Duck Ridge Way. A Time of visitation will be held at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road on Monday, November 14, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Memorial Redwood Cemetery 6500 S. Redwood Road.
Our family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the police officers, EMTs, service members, neighbors and friends for the gracious care Dan and our family received during this difficult time.
