Dana Clark Wood

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Dana Clark Wood shook mortal limitations and was received by his loving and amazing wife, Alma Yolanda Alba Wood, and many other family members and loved ones on October 12, 2019. He is survived by his children Dana Mario (son), Rene Jared (son) and Ezra Benjamin (son), Sonia Angelita (daughter) and Sonia’s husband Armando Rivera. Dana is also survived by his sisters Emma Richins and Margaret Gene Inglet whom he loves dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene Lib Wood and Hettie Charles Flaherty, as well as siblings Flora Frances (sister), Raymond Carroll (brother) and Geraldine Elesteen (sister).
Dana was an amazing father and God fearing man who stood for truth and never backed down from adversity. Dana marveled at and respected all things great and small, recognizing God’s hand in all that we experience. He loved everything Western and was a very skilled and able outdoors man. He passed his knowledge and blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ onto his children and was a tremendous missionary inviting many to follow His example. Dana loved his country and his service in the US military. He also loved to fish, camp, ride horses, cook Southern food and absolutely loved Mexican food, Latin American culture, and people from all parts the the world.
Please join us in celebrating Dana Clark’s life October 21st and 22nd. An evening viewing will be held Monday October 21st (6pm-8pm) at Redwood Mortuaries & Cemeteries located at 6500 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT 84123. Funeral services will be the following day Tuesday October 22nd (10am-12pm) at Dana’s LDS home ward located at 7500 S 308 W Midvale, UT 84047. Internment to take place at above mentioned Memorial Redwood Mortuaries & Cemeteries directly after services.
