Dale Lenoir Jackman

Dale Lenoir Jackman, age 90, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018.
He was born June 8, 1928 to Ezbon and Killarnia Jackman in Joseph, Utah.
Dale was an adored father, brother, son, grandpa, teacher, mentor, entertainer, and husband. Currently married to Cherrell Bishop Jackman.
He loved to hunt, fish, study anything he could about history, and learned to be an electrician through his service in the US Navy. Loved to tinker and fix things. Had a great childhood growing up in Joseph and loved to tell many stories about his experiences there. He was quite an entertainer too. The life of the party! And he “made stuff up!”
Dale graduated from West High in 1946. He earned a degree in business from the University of Utah in 1954.
We are proud of Dale’s military service. He served 3 years in the United States Navy, aboard the USS Fargo, and the USS Missouri. He also served 4 years as an Army Reserve in the
Utah National Guard.
Dale’s chosen career was Land Development. Throughout Dale’s professional career, he was a developer, lender and appraiser. He earned the MAI designation through the Appraisal Institute and received the Solomon Award from the local chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
He is survived by his wife, Cherrell Jackman, two sisters, Enid (Norton) and Renee (Johnson), and one brother Harvy Jackman. Also, by his children, Karen (Rees), Dan, Laurie (Coons), Diane (Bott), Douglas, David, Steven, Jill Lee, Mark Scheller, Lynn Oyler and Jennifer Sharpe. He’s also survived by many adoring grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Delva Bartschi Jackman, and second wife, Calla Redington Jackman, by his parents, Ezbon and Killarnia Jackman, two sisters, Oma (Patterson), and Madge (Alsop) and two brothers, Carl and Dan.
Funeral service will be held, Friday, April 20 in Bountiful, Utah.
