Dale Fillmore Martin
Age 89 passed away January 13, 2018. Born April 11, 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa to Pearl Eldon Martin and Virginia Dutton. Married Frances Wood July 19, 1952 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Sealed in the Salt Lake Temple June 17, 1958. Survived by children Susan R. Martin, Dale (Debi) Martin; grandchildren, Zachery and Nancy Martin; also survived by sister in law Martha martin, wife of Adrian; nieces, Kelly & Karen; nephews, Mike & Dennis. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Boyd & Adrian; two sisters, Roberta & Madge; niece, Donna. Served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, Combat Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; serving in many callings, worked for Root Casket Co. in Des Moines, Iowa. He moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1960 and worked for Mountain States Casket Co. until he went to work for the United States Postal Service. Dale enjoyed traveling especially trips to Disneyland, Disney World, visiting National Parks, and cruises. He loved his wife Frances whom he missed so much he loved his children and grandchildren. We’d like to thank Nic, Kim, Marcy, Bill and Wes from Rocky Mountain Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Dad. Funeral services Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Provo Lakeside 1st Ward Chapel, 131 South 1600 West, Provo, Utah. Visitation Saturday from 9:00 – 10:45 am prior to services. Interment will follow at the Lake Hills Memorial Park, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah.Service Information
